TEDS 2012
SAT 4 FEBRUARY: Thank you to the lovely volunteers from the Trinity Church & Boys Brigade who unloaded our "clothes" trailer whilst us TEDS ladies were stranded on the side of the spur road with Landrover overheating problems! Thanks to hubby for kindly coming back to recover our toy trailer and the stirling efforts of everyone to get everything unpacked and ready for the 10am start!! Julie, Val, Linda et al, you're definately all STARS!! Despite the very cold weather we were delighted to be able to donate £100 to the Boys Brigade and remember, girls can join too!!

WE THINK WE'VE FOUND A TEMPORARY SHOP IN WHICH TO DISPLAY AND SELL OUR HUGE SELECTION OF TOYS, PUSHCHAIRS, TRAVEL SYSTEMS, CAR SEATS, BABY CARRIERS AND CLOTHING..WATCH THIS SPACE AND OUR FACEBOOK PAGE AND WE'LL CONFIRM IF THIS IS ACTUALLY REALLY, FINALLY HAPPENING AND THE DATES AND TIMES WE'LL BE OPEN!!! yippeeeeeeeeee.
TEDS PHILOSOPHY
We aim to recycle as many toys and goods donated or exchanged with us as possible. All of the items are:
- Checked for faults as only the best quality items get to TEDS
- Every toy is thoroughly cleaned by hand and anti-bacterial cleaners used
- Stored in dry containers or inside our homes to keep them clean and aired
- Worn batteries are replaced with new ones
- Clothes are washed and ironed and ready to wear by us or previous owners
- Most soft toys are machine or hand washed by TEDS so they can be cuddled by your littleones immediately!
In our sale venue, we display our vast array of childrens toys, games, puzzles, rattles, books, clothes, shoes, bikes, scooters, ride on toys etc for all to see. Often we have larger items available, so we are able to offer pushchairs, cots, prams, buggies, high chairs and much more - in fact, if you are "expecting", then one visit to us and you could have all your nursery needs fulfilled in one go! Contact us if you have a specific request or item that you are looking for and we will be happy to help!
As the TEDS events are social occasions to, we provide where possible, cafe facilities so our shoppers can enjoy hot or cold drinks and some yummy home-made cakes. Squash and fairy cakes are available for the younger children, all at reasonable low prices, so stay and have a chat with us.
A childrens play area is also provided where possible, space permitting, so your little ones can enjoy playing in the ball pit, or sitting and drawing/colouring quietly while you chat with your friends and enjoy a drink and a break! Our play area is unsupervised but is free of charge for your children to use whenever we can provide one.
If you are able to support us by downloading the attached document, then please print off copies and display them in as many places as possible! Perhaps you are able to promote TEDS in your local schools, playgroups, community halls, parent toddler groups, breast feeding and ante-natal groups, in your local businesses and so on. If you require any other promotional materials or print outs then please contact us and we can bring or post some to you! We appreciate your time in doing this and you can be sure that you will help us emormously in our fundraising efforts.
